Mary Beth Semerod MSW, PhD, is an Adjunct Instructor and Ph.D in the Center for Social Work Education at Widener University. She has worked as an administrator and direct service worker in the field of human services for over 40 years. Ms. Semerod worked as project evaluatorin a cross-sector partnership with Just Act and Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations to implement a pilot project, Art Powered Places, to provide training and technical assistance to local Neighborhood Action Committees (NAS) and Neighborhood Action Subcommittees (NAS). She also participated as part of the evaluation team with Animating Democracy for ChesterMade (2015) and Temple University’s A Fierce Kind of Love (2016).
